The Centrality of the Gospel!

The Gospel! What is it? And what difference does it make? Certainly you can look at the lives of the early disciples and see the centrality of the Gospel. It affected what they did with their time and it affected their character as well. They were driven by it!

"I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the Gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: 'The righteous will live by faith.' "
Romans 1:16-17

There is hope for the hopeless based on the merits of Christ alone! He has made His righteousness available for the unrighteous to be clothed with!

"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God."
2 Cor. 5:21

It's in the Gospel that we find hope! It's because of Christ and His work on the cross that we stand right before the Father! The Gospel means everything! Are we driven by it? It should affect all of who we are...

"Bear with one another and forgive any grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
Col. 3:13

"Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."
Eph. 5:1-2

How much does the Gospel drive you toward missional action? Does the Gospel have an impact on your character? These are all questions I am asking myself and I am desperately longing to the Gospel to grip my heart more and more! Let us allow the Gospel to grip us at the core of our being and allow it to drive us to become more like Christ and to make Him known!

The Gospel has been very inspirational to me through life; however, the people God has placed around me (Like yourself) have truly given me hope which is also in Christ Jesus. For the sake of not sounding like a person on house arrest depicting a letter, we have to just say TNK God. :) (torah, get the joke?) Where is the humor in the Bible? /|\ <3 /|\
